PING is a family-owned golf manufacturer, founded in 1959 by Karsten and Louise Solheim. The PING brand has since become synonymous with performance and innovation and has a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing industry-leading golf equipment, while also being regarded as the leader in custom fitting.
In the mid-1970’s, Karsten and Louise began sponsoring various events on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour and the relationship with women’s golf was further strengthened in the late 1980’s, when they were instrumental in establishing the Solheim Cup, a biennial match between the best women golfers from the USA and Europe. To this day, PING continues to provide significant support to the event and are recognised as the Founding Partner. The Solheim family were, and continue to be, very passionate about women’s golf receiving the same recognition as their male counterparts and this has further extended into the extensive PING product ranges that have been specifically engineered for women.
Ping Europe Limited is the manufacturer and distributor of PING golf equipment, apparel, bags, headwear and accessories to the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe, Iceland, South Africa and Dubai. The company is also the proprietor of Thonock Park, a Golf Club in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.

Tools used in this process generally include self-evaluations, on-site risk assessments, and supplier visits to verify and validate actual practices. Potential direct supplier qualification activities are managed by PING personnel.
